I'm walking away...

The necklace is finished. I think. But I have to stop working on this piece; I dreamt about it last night and that is going too far! Clearly 20+ hours is a bit too long to spend on one project.
I'm going to call it the Czarina Necklace because not only does it look quite regal but also because I used a Russian daisy chain stitch to finish it off.

...and for my next trick...

During the making of the Cube I was drawn to the shapes of the individual flowers before the petals had fully formed. They reminded me of textile designs I'd seen in the V&A archives and (yes, you've guessed it) I began to obsess over how I might use them. Here is the result of that obsessing:

You can see, it is still a work in progress; I can't decide what sort of chain to finish it off with and I am worried that the single crystal might be too flimsy a link between each rivoili. But I don't want to over-egg the pattern either. What to do, what to do...the obsession continues.

My very own Borg Cube

I finished my Geo Floral Beaded Bead and I loved making it! It's a tough one to wear and absolutely the most blingiest thing I have ever made, but it's mine and I love it.
