Thanks to discovering this square stitch technique I am now obsessed with making lariats! They are soooo easy, perfect for sitting in front of the tv and beading a few inches an evening. A bit like knitting really. And make the perfect gift for latent rock chicks!

Bead & Button Magazine returned my freshly published Tortiglioni Necklace today, along with a copy of their current issue, the Collector's edition, which is amazing btw. Thus inspired I have emailed another design for their consideration because you never know.
I've sent both versions of my "Flags" necklaces, being the best examples I have of my emerging style.
Defining ones style is always difficult but I think I can safely own up to an obsession with off-loom beadweaving in general and the mixing of matte and shiny seed beads in particular. While I am overwhelmed by the skill and artistry of my fellow beadweavers (check out the Etsy Beadweavers Team blog for some serious inspiration), I am always drawn to the pared-down and the minimal; no bling for me. And it's not just because I like to bead in front of the TV with a glass of wine, oh no! I am also a knitter and I think I'm drawn to the slower, slightly repetitive beading techniques that echo that craft.
Enough already. Here are the designs I've submitted. I'll let you know.....
